Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake during office visits, ensuring accurate documentation and data entry.
- Administer vaccines and medications as directed, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain comprehensive medical records using the EPIC EHR system.
- Function as a clinical scribe when necessary, documenting patient-provider interactions accurately.
- Uphold a clean and organized work environment, restocking supplies as needed and removing outdated materials.
- Engage in patient education and reinforce instructions provided by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and patient care delivery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Active certification or registration in Medical Assisting is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Training Requirements
Successful completion of the following training programs is required during the initial probationary period:
- Medical Assistant Training Program
- Approved Medication Administration Training Course
- Basic LMC Competency Assessment for Medical Office Technicians
