Fire Protection Project Supervisor

The Superintendent plays a crucial role in overseeing the performance of field personnel across various projects, which may encompass fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, portable equipment, KEC, or other divisions within the organization. This position involves coordinating the efforts of multiple departments engaged in a project. Their supervision ensures that our field teams are supported, and our clients' requirements are effectively addressed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with project management teams to verify the accuracy of project designs prior to the commencement of work.
  • Managing the procurement and scheduling of all necessary equipment for the project.
  • Serving as the primary communication link between field operations and the office.
  • Overseeing work schedules and timekeeping for all field personnel.
  • Providing guidance to on-site staff, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Addressing and resolving client complaints.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitoring project progress to guarantee that timelines are met.
  • Reporting on completed work in a precise and timely manner.
  • Safeguarding and maintaining company assets.
  • Inspecting and servicing the vehicle and all associated equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
  • Operating warehouse machinery, including vehicles, to facilitate the loading and unloading of equipment while complying with all safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Working safely in accordance with company safety protocols, including driver safety and personal protective equipment usage.
  • Responding to emergency service requests.
  • Maintaining a tidy and secure work environment.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including potential evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Knowledge of life safety principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Ability to review official documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Skill in identifying and reporting discrepancies through inspection processes.
  • Capability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Complying with the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • While executing the essential functions of this role, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • The position also necessitates the following physical capabilities: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
