Job Overview

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare sector is required, with prior experience in a call center being advantageous.
  • At least one year of experience in scheduling or insurance verification is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Spinal Cord procedures, Kyphoplasty, and Imaging is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently schedules in-office procedures in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Updates and verifies patient demographic details and insurance eligibility, ensuring all necessary information is accurate for successful claims processing.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with patients regarding authorization, financial counseling, and scheduling updates.
  • Addresses patient inquiries and concerns, resolving issues to uphold high levels of patient satisfaction.
  • Communicates essential clinical instructions required for appointments and procedures.
  • Handles incoming calls and requests promptly and accurately, relaying messages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensures that canceled appointments and related ancillary appointments are properly managed and communicated to all relevant parties.
  • Accurately maintains patient information within the practice management system and electronic medical records (EMR), documenting all completed tasks as required.
  • Upholds strict confidentiality of all health records and member information, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
