As a Senior Business Intelligence Architect at Amazon Prime Video, you will serve as a pivotal technical leader and strategic consultant, steering the vision and execution of the business intelligence and analytics functions.
In this influential position, you will:
Establish benchmarks for BI engineering excellence within Prime Video, delivering outstanding solutions that are efficient, stable, scalable, and adaptable over time.
Define and drive the comprehensive analytics strategy for Prime Video, ensuring alignment with the overarching data architecture and business goals.
Lead the adoption of robust data governance practices, focusing on data integrity, metrics definitions, and maintaining high standards.
Enhance and streamline existing BI solutions, models, and processes to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness.
Address complex and ambiguous challenges, utilizing your expertise to create innovative solutions that yield significant business outcomes.
Guide cross-functional teams in the design, development, and delivery of essential BI initiatives, delegating responsibilities to facilitate independent work streams.
Extend your influence by leading design reviews, questioning assumptions, aligning teams, and educating the engineering community on advanced BI technologies and trends.
Act as a mentor and career advisor, assisting managers in understanding data roles and fostering the professional development of their team members.
- 10+ years of practical experience as a BI/Analytics engineer or data architect, with a proven history of delivering impactful solutions.
- Exceptional technical expertise, including proficiency in data modeling, SQL, data visualization, and BI tool implementation (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight).
- Ability to dissect complex problems, devise innovative solutions, and lead cross-functional teams in their execution.
- Strong business acumen and strategic insight, with the capability to align BI initiatives with broader organizational objectives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in leading design reviews and achieving consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- A passion for continuous learning, mentorship, and enhancing the BI engineering practice within your organization.
- Experience in streaming video, content analytics, and customer lifecycle analytics.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $124,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $241,300/year in our highest geographic market.
Compensation is based on multiple factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
