Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Strategic Initiatives Manager to spearhead the identification, development, management, and evaluation of business strategies for Prime Video in the US. As a vital member of the Prime Video US Hub Strategy team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders across Prime Video and Amazon to formulate strategies that enhance the financial performance of Prime Video US. Your responsibilities will involve balancing the sometimes aligned, sometimes conflicting priorities across our original and licensed content, subscription Channels, rental/purchase options, and free ad-supported streaming services.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in crafting and leading intricate business strategies while achieving performance metrics.
- Identify growth opportunities and translate them into actionable strategies with measurable outcomes.
- Assess the potential impact of strategic investments and cultivate trust and influence among stakeholders.
- Balance operational tasks with strategic initiatives, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams through effective documentation.
A Day in the Life
This position requires regular engagement with Finance, Marketing, Business, Product, and cross-Amazon teams to identify, outline, and execute business strategies. You will serve as a strategy expert for Prime Video US, providing insightful guidance and consistently seeking ways to enhance overall business performance.
Team Dynamics
This team operates at the core of Prime Video US' business, overseeing its most significant strategies. Your role will involve fostering key relationships across various Amazon teams, ensuring high visibility and substantial impact within the organization.
Qualifications
Basic:
- 6+ years of experience in management consulting, strategic business development, or business management within a major media or technology organization.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders while managing conflicting priorities.
Preferred:
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Comfortable navigating complex business models.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
- Passion for the entertainment industry.
