About Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas

We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing service leader to join our team as a Restaurant Manager. As a Restaurant Manager at Spuntino, you will be responsible for leading a team of service professionals to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, select, train, develop, and retain team members to ensure exceptional guest service.
  • Guest Engagement: Engage with team members and guests to maximize the guest dining experience.
  • Menu Knowledge: Possess strong knowledge of all menu items, including food, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages, with an emphasis on Italian wine.
  • Sales and Marketing: Assist in implementing and promoting in-restaurant programs and strategies to build sales.
  • Community Involvement: Participate in restaurant-sponsored community events and activities.
  • Culture and Values: Lead by example and maintain a restaurant culture that brings the company's vision and values to life.
  • Support and Collaboration: Support goals and objectives of the management team.
  • Inventory and Cost Management: Maintain adequate inventory levels in accordance with sales volume and storage procedures.
  • Profitability and Efficiency: Monitor and manage costs and profitability.
  • Facilities and Equipment: Maintain restaurant equipment and building in accordance with company guidelines for safety, organization, and sanitation.
  • Brand Standards: Provide leadership to deliver on all brand standards.
  • Performance Feedback: Provide in-the-moment and regularly scheduled performance feedback to team members.
Qualifications
  • Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead others and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Knowledgeable of food, beverages, and basic preparation methods.
  • Wine Knowledge: Robust knowledge of different types of wines and growing regions, including ability to describe taste and aroma and recommended pairings.
  • Sales and Service: Ability to sell, serve, and supervise the sale of alcohol.
  • Experience: 3+ years previous full-service restaurant management experience.
  • Wine Sales and Promotion: Previous experience specifically with wine sales, promotion, and/or education.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written.
  • Availability: Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
