About the Impact Team

We help clients achieve impact across high-profile issues, partnering with major philanthropies, national and local advocacy organizations, corporations, and nonprofits. We execute powerful media relations strategies, launch digital thought leadership programs, and develop creative campaigns to advance specific policy issues. Our team serves as trusted advisors to solve our nation's most pressing challenges.

About This Role

BerlinRosen is seeking a Vice President to join our Impact Team to lead strategy and wins for account teams fighting and advancing justice in areas including reproductive rights, impact investing, labor, combating antisemitism, and environmental justice.

Accountabilities and Qualifications
  • Lead strategic conversations and advance the communications strategy for multiple high-profile client accounts to deliver top-notch results for our clients.
  • Develop and oversee integrated campaigns that leverage public affairs, media, and digital tactics to reach key audiences and achieve client goals.
  • Directly manage and mentor staff, and provide overall strategic direction and feedback for their development and client work.
  • Collaborate closely with the Impact management team to develop and inspire our team of strategists to be innovative and creative.
  • Help our practice win new business and proactively expand our relationships.
Essential Skills
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in campaign politics, strategic communications, media relations, advocacy, journalism, or a related field.
  • Avid consumer of news, with a strong news sense and knowledge of the media, and experience engaging and maintaining strong relationships with key reporters covering top issues.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to multi-task easily, including handling multiple assignments at once, working quickly, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to details.
  • Personal commitment to and knowledge of social justice.
  • Understanding of organizing and advocacy communications, including social media campaigning, writing for the web, local, state, or national politics, and engaging with members of the media for both rapid response and long lead stories.
  • Experience managing people and successfully motivating, leading, and mentoring a diverse team to meet objectives.
