Position Summary

The Healthcare Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

  • Qualifications:
    • Associate's degree or certification in medical administrative assistance from an accredited institution.
    • Preferred experience of at least one year, though not mandatory.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with HEALTHeLINK, EMR systems, and Medent is advantageous.
    • Experience in a value-based clinical environment is preferred.
    • Experience in urban healthcare settings is a plus.
    • Entrepreneurial Spirit: This role is crucial in addressing longstanding gaps in healthcare delivery for Black and Brown populations, ensuring CINQCARE fulfills its mission innovatively.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential, with bilingual skills preferred. The candidate should be capable of presenting concepts clearly to the CINQCARE team.
    • Relationship Management: Ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with Family Members, colleagues, and network providers.
    • Work Ethic: Demonstrates good judgment, ethical standards, and a collaborative spirit; motivated to thrive in a dynamic and demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support under the supervision of healthcare providers, fostering long-term relationships with patients.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as verifying patient demographics, insurance details, and visit registrations, along with payment collection.
  • Assist in managing medical records and addressing quality gaps in care.
  • Prepare prior authorizations for diagnostic tests as required by insurance.
  • Manage incoming communications, including faxes, orders, and referrals.
  • Prepare patient charts and assist with health information management.
  • Maintain and update patient health records.
  • Handle patient inquiries and assist with appointment scheduling and reminders.
  • Conduct follow-up calls for missed appointments and testing.
  • Complete necessary forms and manage patient scheduling.
  • Monitor quality measures and assist in tracking performance metrics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment:

This role involves office-based tasks within a traditional office setting, featuring controlled air and artificial lighting. Effective communication with colleagues and clients is essential, often requiring interaction with individuals in various emotional states. Regular use of telecommunication and email is necessary, alongside prolonged periods of sitting. The role may involve occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs and requires good manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment.
