Job Title: Lead Mechanical Design EngineerAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Ahaus Tool & Engineering Inc. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical systems and equipment using SolidWorks CAD software.
  • Apply design expertise in areas such as synchronous and non-synchronous automation, manual and lean equipment, and hydraulic and manual workholding fixtures.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to satisfy design-related challenges, including dimensional, service, manufacturing, and cost and schedule issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for equipment operation, including instruction manuals and sequence of events charts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T techniques, solid modeling, and engineering analysis software.
