Automation Engineering Specialist

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will create concepts, designs, details, and machine-control programs for automated equipment, troubleshoot, install, and provide service and support for equipment at customer's facilities.
The key responsibilities include:
- Create concepts and designs related to industrial equipment such as synchronous automation, non-synchronous automation, manual and lean equipment, hydraulic and manual workholding fixtures, heat exchanger core assembly equipment, crimping equipment & dies, molds & corrugation equipment, gages, multi-station systems, functional test equipment, and standalone equipment.
- Apply knowledge of powered prime movers, conveyors & material handling, sensors & instruments, robotics & vision systems, statistical quality methods, AutoCAD Electrical, safety & ergonomics, manufacturing techniques, mechanical engineering techniques, studies requirements, and confers with project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, ten years of experience in controls engineering in a manufacturing environment, and hands-on experience in creating machine operational manuals, redlining & revising drawings, utilizing sequence of events and powered elements charts, engaging in debug and development activities, and working within ISO business quality system parameters.
The estimated salary for this position is around $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
