POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager collaborates closely with team members to oversee the research, design, execution, and support of technological challenges and other technology transfer and transition (T3) initiatives. This role is pivotal in developing programs that attract and encourage submissions from businesses, academic institutions, and individual innovators by working alongside economic development professionals, business associations, and other essential referral sources. The Senior Project Manager will work in conjunction with the NROWERX Director, Deputy Director, and the team to enhance the growth and quality of the program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the NROWERX team in project planning, tracking, systems optimization, technology evaluation, activity reporting, promotional messaging, and market research.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify, validate, and integrate technical and planning tools to enhance NROWERX's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish and nurture technology and process-focused relationships with NROWERX and other DoD/Industry/Academia clients, as well as DWX innovation hubs.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the NROWERX project team, contributing to the recruitment and selection of interns and new team members.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnerships with organizations, networks, and groups to scale and engage in marketing and communication efforts to disseminate information and project opportunities.
  • Enhance and strengthen collaboration with marketing, communications, and events teams to engage customer leads within industry and government sectors.
  • Provide strategic insights and collaboration to the Director and Deputy Director.
  • Represent NROWERX at key engagements, including technology and industry forums, showcases, events, and speeches.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience in strategic planning, personnel management, process improvement, project management, and/or technology transfer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), CRM software, and web-based project management tools.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
