Position Overview

As a Commercial Sales Executive II at ENGIE North America, your main focus will be to identify and secure new Commercial and Industrial (C&I) clients for our retail division. You will be instrumental in building a strong pipeline of potential customers in the New York (NYISO) and New England (NEPOOL) ISO regions. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Proactively sourcing leads by pinpointing potential C&I customers through marketing initiatives and data analysis, leveraging your industry knowledge, cold calling, and networking abilities.
  • Assessing customer creditworthiness in line with established Credit Guidelines, utilizing your financial acumen and relationship management skills to collect necessary information for credit evaluations.
  • Collecting consumption metrics and account details to gauge customer interest, customizing pricing proposals to align with their specific requirements and consumption patterns.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of ENGIE's product offerings and articulating how our solutions meet customer needs, ensuring clarity in communication.
  • Employing effective questioning, listening, and persuasive techniques to identify customer requirements, propose tailored electricity supply solutions, negotiate terms, and finalize agreements, while collaborating with internal teams for smooth service execution and revenue generation.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, focusing on business principles, management, and marketing.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience in retail energy sales or in developing and executing successful sales strategies to achieve or surpass sales objectives.
  • Direct sales experience, preferably within the retail energy sector.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior-level decision-makers.
  • A self-motivated individual with a quick learning ability for new products, processes, and systems.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
Additional Information
  • This position supports a hybrid work model, combining remote work with in-office responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 15% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record are required for travel and vehicle rentals.
  • Compliance with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies is mandatory.
Compensation

Salary Range: $62,400 - $95,450 USD annually.

This range reflects the average expected pay for a qualified candidate. Actual salary may vary based on location, experience, industry knowledge, education, and internal pay alignment.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an incentive plan.
