Account Executive, Commercial Accounts

Rapid7's Commercial Sales organization is seeking a seasoned Account Executive to drive business growth at mid-market companies across North America.
In this quota-carrying role, you will partner with clients to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, while managing upsell and cross-sell initiatives within your assigned territory.
As a trusted advisor, you will leverage your industry expertise and sales acumen to position Rapid7's offerings as the go-to solution for clients seeking to enhance their digital security posture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Meet and/or exceed sales targets by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities at mid-market companies with up to 1,300 employees.
- Creatively source new prospects and thoughtfully position Rapid7's offerings to suit their needs.
- Serve as a strategic partner and industry expert, providing guidance and support to clients throughout the sales process.
- Stay current on competitor offerings and identify areas for differentiation.
- Turn client feedback into actionable strategies to drive new business and address competitive risks.
- Influence client decisions and advocate for client needs to negotiate solutions.
Requirements include:
- 1+ year of B2B closing experience.
- Strong track record of success driving revenue through prospecting, creating new business, and sustainably growing existing business.
- Ability to work well independently and under pressure, as well as be highly responsive to clients.
- Capacity to learn, absorb, and adapt quickly to ever-changing business priorities.
- Critical thinking in a variety of situations, demonstrating drive, initiative, energy, and sense of urgency in acquiring and serving clients.
