Patient Care Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Operations Coordinator to join our team at ProHealth Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient care services.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and plan patient throughput activities to ensure timely bed assignments and efficient patient flow.
- Utilize electronic medical records to find and assign beds efficiently, and provide input to updating patient placement guidelines and processes as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and charge nurses to determine shift staffing strategies and make decisions based on the assessment of the hospital division.
- Coordinate and shift surgical cases as needed based on patient acuity, and collaborate with outpatient nursing departments to deploy patient resources required.
- Provide patient care clinical support as needed, including IV starts, patient transportation, and assist with procedures.
- Respond to all code situations, ensure immediate follow-up through debriefings, and coordinate appropriate resources.
- Provide constructive feedback to nursing leadership regarding staff performance or unit-related operations.
- Comply with all applicable hospital and department-specific patient safety and quality goals, and participate in performance improvement relative to these goals as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- WI RN Licensure
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ACLS and PALS Certifications preferred
