Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Patient Care Coordinator Associate to support patient care delivery in various areas, including patient reception, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment processing. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service and upholding a positive experience.
  • Enter and update patient demographic and financial information, ensuring accurate registration and documentation.
  • Obtain and verify patient information, including applications and forms, and photocopy/scanning documents as needed.
  • Collect patient liabilities, document amounts, and balance the cash box daily.
  • Collaborate with partnering departments to ensure seamless patient encounters and accurate documentation.
  • Provide wayfinding instructions and assist with hospital information as requested.
  • Coordinate patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards as applicable.
  • Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards, working through worklists and error reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of previous customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment
  • Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to work 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday
  • Ability to float between 2 clinics
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a medical office or hospital admitting/registration office
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic medical records system
Soft Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments
