At Optum, we're dedicated to delivering care and improving health outcomes for millions of people worldwide. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in connecting patients with the care and resources they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patients via phone calls or outbound calls, ensuring seamless communication and timely appointments.
  • Manage patient medical records, check in patients, and answer billing questions with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Work collaboratively with clinic teams to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work between 9:00am – 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Terminology knowledge and Epic experience a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
