Job Overview

Position: Food Sales Consultant (Non-Commercial Specialist)

Location: Remote/Field-Based

We are in search of a driven and results-focused individual to join our team as a Food Sales Consultant specializing in non-commercial sectors. This role will involve working closely with our Market Director and requires a background in various sales disciplines, including business development, account management, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and influence key decision-makers in non-commercial environments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with food service directors and culinary professionals.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of key distributors in the market.
  • Provide regular sales reporting and updates to manufacturers.
  • Manage food and beverage samples effectively.
  • Create and implement a strategic market approach for weekly visits to key accounts.
  • Prepare food products and design innovative menu combinations.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in food service brokerage, operations management, or national manufacturing.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for assisting others.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills, and a solid work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with CRM systems.

  • Effective communication skills to connect with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Consistency in developing and executing sales strategies.

Work Expectations:

  • Daily travel to assigned locations is required; a valid driver's license and clean driving record are essential.
  • Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday.
  • Physical demands may include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs during trade shows.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
