Job Overview

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Operations Engineer to enhance the security posture of our cloud-based services in support of the US Department of the Treasury's TCloud initiative. This project focuses on delivering comprehensive multi-cloud solutions to address the infrastructure requirements of the Department of Treasury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize cloud environments utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks and continuous integration/deployment pipelines across various environments; create, build, and deploy scripts.
  • Facilitate observability and robustness across multi-cloud landing zones and Development/Test/Production environments.
  • Assist in the implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance frameworks.
  • Continuously evaluate, onboard, and enable new FedRAMP cloud services, applying security best practices for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and networking.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen with the capability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with seven (7) years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in cloud environments with proficiency in at least four of the following areas:
    • Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
    • Agile collaboration tools including Atlassian Jira and Confluence
    • CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Artifactory
    • Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) such as Azure, AWS, or OCI
    • Containerization and management using Kubernetes and Helm
    • Scripting with PowerShell or Bash
    • Security automation utilizing tools like Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
    • Cybersecurity tools including Aviatrix, Orca, Splunk, Qmulous, and STIG scanner
    • Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
    • Version control systems and branching strategies, including GitFlow and/or GitHub Flow
    • Best practices for cloud high availability and scalability architectures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or higher certification
  • Active clearance from the Treasury is preferred

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
