Job Overview

Become a vital part of a diverse workforce. DIGITALSPEC is in search of a skilled, driven, and customer-focused Cloud Security Specialist to enhance our operations.

Location: Washington, DC Clearance: US Citizens and TOP Secret Clearance Required, will consider well qualified candidate with an Active DOD Secret Clearance.

Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience with 4 - 6 years of practical experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews and technical assessments of cloud systems, identifying and addressing potential security vulnerabilities while ensuring system performance.
  • Operate independently in the realm of cloud security monitoring to evaluate the overall security posture and relay pertinent information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with designated system stakeholders to gain insights into their cloud infrastructure to effectively support operational objectives.
  • Assist in the deployment of monitoring capabilities for various audiences including developers, business owners, security personnel, and infrastructure teams; analyze all platform-level and network modifications, assess their impact, and provide suitable technical solutions to efficiently resolve issues; evaluate and document operational baselines in accordance with established standards.
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of infrastructure components (VMs, Security Products, Network ports and protocols, Databases, Middleware, and open-source code) to assist DevOps in an enterprise environment, facilitating the construction, maintenance, and sustainability of an enterprise IT DevOps operational model.
  • Possess the necessary skill sets to execute computer incident response and remediation practices as outlined in the NIST Computer Security Incident Handling Guide and DHS 4300A Sensitive Systems Policy Handbook, Attachment F Incident Response.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Government.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in a wide range of Cyber Security platforms: Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Threat Intelligence, Endpoint Security.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and other cloud service models.
  • In-depth understanding of Cloud Security, API Security, and Container Security.
