Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Utility Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in managing the identification, safeguarding, and relocation of both public and private utilities to support the design and execution of transportation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical, organizational, and communication abilities to effectively collaborate with utility stakeholders and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and procure utility record drawings.
  • Facilitate Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) efforts to accurately identify and locate utilities.
  • Coordinate with utility owners and project teams to define roles and responsibilities for utility-related activities.
  • Monitor and track utility design and construction tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform and/or oversee design and constructability assessments concerning existing and proposed utilities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in utility design or related fields.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proficient in utility design and construction methodologies.
  • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD software.
  • Exceptional skills in communication, technical writing, presentation, and organization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
  • Experience managing complex utility projects effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
