Senior Analyst, Resilience Assessment

Position Overview
The Enterprise Resilience Team is in search of a testing and exercise specialist to provide structure, requirements, and coordination across Mastercard's Enterprise Resilience Teams: Business Continuity (BC), Crisis Management (CM), Technical Recovery (TR), Resilience Planning (RP), and Operational Resilience (OR). This role requires hands-on execution and the ability to work independently while receiving support, processes, and procedures from a global Enterprise Resilience Team. Some international travel may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with a global Enterprise Resilience team to design and implement advanced testing and exercise capabilities.
2. Integrate Operational Resilience within the organization, grounded in the principles of the Enterprise Resilience Disciplines (BC, CM, TR, SR).
3. Work alongside global Enterprise Resilience staff to comprehend resilience and guide standardization where suitable.
4. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Operational Resilience regulations and guidelines, particularly those from the Bank of England (BoE).
5. Stay informed about other jurisdiction regulations, guidelines, and proposals related to Operational Resilience (e.g., DORA).
6. Execute the Enterprise Resilience program structure to align with relevant certification standards (ISO).
7. Collaborate with team members within the Resilience Planning (RP) function to ensure regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions.
8. Conduct Important Business Service (IBS) identification and analysis in accordance with BoE regulatory expectations.
9. Evaluate (criticality) and confirm Impact Tolerance levels for identified services.
10. Partner with the Risk function to ensure necessary attestations to regulators and other entities are completed per program framework and regulatory expectations.
11. Manage other BCM tasks such as business impact analysis and risk assessment coordination, business continuity planning, and exercises while providing detailed QA and support for business partners.
12. Ensure that business continuity levels and capabilities of third parties comply with risk management mandates.
13. Act as a Crisis Management subject matter expert to establish this entity with the appropriate structure and response model, including plans and exercises, while supporting the Crisis Management Team during crises.
14. Collaborate with the team's technology recovery contact to ensure system impact analysis, recovery plans, and exercises are conducted as per policy.
15. Educate business partners on the program's roles and responsibilities to ensure all staff are well-informed of our requirements.
16. Build essential business relationships within the entity and become a trusted partner to further embed a culture of business continuity.
17. Provide consultation to management and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a similar capacity.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of relevant ISO certification requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Industry accreditation (preferably at MBCI or equivalent level minimum).
- Strong background in impact analysis and risk assessment design and processes.
- Experience in designing, facilitating, and reporting on complex, scenario-based exercises.
- Capable of executing or fully understanding technology recovery exercises; a technology background is advantageous.
- Proven experience managing business continuity third-party risk processes.
- Familiarity with Fusion Risk Management Business Continuity software is a plus.
- Experience with emergency notification tools is advantageous.
- Experience in the design and delivery of management information metrics is beneficial.
