Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of AWS, GovCloud, ArcGIS, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficient in advanced DevOps methodologies.
Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Certifications:
- Relevant DoD certifications and architectural certifications (AWS) are highly regarded.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the principal technical authority on infrastructure and development projects, providing expert guidance to engineering teams.
- Lead architectural design initiatives, emphasizing microservices, cloud-native solutions, and the transition from monolithic to distributed systems.
- Conduct thorough code and configuration reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.- Manage advanced Oracle 19c database administration tasks, including performance optimization, security enhancements, and high availability setups.
- Direct system engineering projects, focusing on the design and deployment of scalable and resilient server infrastructures.
- Collaborate with Information Assurance teams to guarantee compliance with DoD regulations, including FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST, and RMF.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols across the team.
- Advocate for and implement cutting-edge cybersecurity practices and secure coding standards, in line with DoD IAT II requirements and beyond.
- Perform regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Drive technological innovation by identifying and assessing emerging technologies that can enhance DoD program capabilities.
- Create and maintain a technology roadmap that aligns with organizational objectives and DoD requirements.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex architectural challenges, particularly within the constraints of DoD environments.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of developers, DevOps engineers, and database administrators.
- Facilitate effective communication across all organizational levels, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with DoD clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver high-level presentations on architectural strategies and project outcomes to executive leadership and DoD representatives.
