Position Overview

The Enterprise Resilience Team is in search of a testing and exercise specialist to provide structure, requirements, and coordination across various divisions of Mastercard's Enterprise Resilience Teams, including Business Continuity (BC), Crisis Management (CM), Technical Recovery (TR), Resilience Planning (RP), and Operational Resilience (OR). This role requires a proactive approach, with the ability to work independently while receiving guidance and support from a global Enterprise Resilience Team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with a global Enterprise Resilience team to design and enhance testing and exercise capabilities.
2. Integrate Operational Resilience within the organization, leveraging the foundation of Enterprise Resilience Disciplines (BC, CM, TR, SR).
3. Work with global Enterprise Resilience staff to promote resilience and standardization where applicable.
4. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Operational Resilience regulations and guidelines, particularly those set forth by the Bank of England (BoE).
5. Stay informed about regulations and proposals related to Operational Resilience in other jurisdictions (e.g., DORA).
6. Implement the Enterprise Resilience program structure in alignment with relevant certification standards (ISO).
7. Collaborate with the Resilience Planning (RP) team to ensure regulatory compliance across all operational jurisdictions.
8. Conduct Important Business Service (IBS) identification and analysis in accordance with BoE regulatory expectations.
9. Evaluate and confirm Impact Tolerance levels for identified services.
10. Partner with the Risk function to ensure necessary attestations to regulators are completed as per program framework and regulatory requirements.
11. Oversee other Business Continuity Management (BCM) tasks, including business impact analysis and risk assessment coordination, while providing quality assurance and support to business partners.
12. Ensure third-party business continuity capabilities meet risk management standards.
13. Act as a Crisis Management subject matter expert to establish effective response models, including plans and exercises, while supporting the Crisis Management Team during incidents.
14. Collaborate with technology recovery contacts to ensure system impact analysis and recovery plans are executed as required by policy.
15. Educate business partners on program roles and responsibilities to ensure comprehensive understanding of requirements.
16. Build and maintain strong business relationships to foster a culture of business continuity.
17. Provide consultation to management and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a similar capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant ISO certification requirements and regulatory standards.
- Industry accreditation (preferably at MBCI or equivalent level) is preferred.
- Strong background in impact analysis and risk assessment design.
- Experience in designing, facilitating, and reporting on complex, scenario-based exercises.
- Ability to execute or understand technology recovery exercises; a technology background is advantageous.
- Proven experience in managing business continuity third-party risk processes.
- Familiarity with Fusion Risk Management Business Continuity software is a plus.
- Experience with emergency notification tools is beneficial.
- Background in designing and delivering management information metrics is advantageous.
