Position Overview

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will take charge of crafting architectures and offering technical guidance for projects aimed at addressing fraud, customer risk, and authentication challenges. These initiatives will enhance a cutting-edge Decision Management platform that processes billions of transactions monthly, utilizing a multi-tiered, message-driven architecture to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.

Your role will involve providing technical direction and expertise to develop new platform functionalities at the core of this high-volume transaction processing system, which includes: web applications for managing fraud solutions and incidents; APIs for delivering capabilities to clients; and vendor solutions for business rules management and fraud assessment. Furthermore, you will collaborate with fellow architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, as well as other technology teams, to achieve outstanding and significant business results. A successful candidate will create innovative, resilient, and cost-effective technological solutions that align with enterprise strategies and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

• The Architecture team establishes strategic direction and defines new functionalities for Mastercard's Decision Management Platform.

• This platform delivers business solutions to counteract fraud and verify user identities while processing billions of transactions monthly.

• Solutions Architects will provide technical thought leadership and expertise for new platform functionalities.

• These functionalities will enhance a high-volume transaction processing system, web applications for managing fraud solutions and incidents, APIs for delivering capabilities to clients, and vendor solutions for business rules management and fraud assessment.

Role Expectations

• Deliver comprehensive architectural solutions from conceptualization to application level for new initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Proven experience in architecting large and intricate systems from conceptual architecture to application architecture.

• Demonstrated ability to provide technical thought leadership across an organization.

• Extensive technical experience including Java, Linux, Oracle, and virtualization technologies.

• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and architecture governance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with audiences at all organizational levels.

• Self-driven with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience with web architecture and application development, including APIs.

• Familiarity with high-performance data storage solutions such as GemFire in-memory Object Grid.

• Database experience (e.g., Oracle).

• Experience integrating vendor and open-source products into a cohesive system.

• Experience in developing and supporting highly scalable and high-performance transaction processing systems.
