Job Overview:
The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for strategizing and implementing all fundraising initiatives aimed at individual supporters. This includes outreach, solicitation, and the execution of annual and seasonal fundraising campaigns, donor events, and effective communication to foster donor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and set ambitious goals for individual fundraising efforts, focusing on expanding the major donor base.
  • Identify and research potential major donors; design and implement tailored strategies for donor engagement.
  • Manage relationships with existing donors, ensuring active stewardship and engagement plans are in place.
  • Enhance and oversee the major donor program, including invitations to exclusive events and personalized benefits.
  • Coordinate meetings for the Executive Director to cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors.
  • Design and execute fundraising appeals, crafting compelling narratives and overseeing the production of marketing materials.
  • Organize small-scale fundraising events throughout the year, supporting larger public events as needed.
  • Utilize donor management systems to track interactions and contributions, analyzing trends and progress towards goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce a quarterly newsletter for donors.
  • Provide regular updates to the Board of Trustees regarding fundraising activities and donor engagement.
  • Supervise the Development Associate, ensuring efficient processing of donations and acknowledgment communications.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in fundraising or a related non-profit field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; a diplomatic approach to donor relations.
  • Strong writing and storytelling abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of producing high-quality work independently.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with donor management software.
