As a Support Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing high-quality educational and recreational programs tailored to the diverse needs of our participants. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, including:

  • Program Implementation: Delivering engaging activities that focus on fine and gross motor skills, cognition, community integration, life skills, and therapeutic recreation.
  • Activity Coordination: Conducting scheduled activities according to established protocols and collaborating with the team to develop new topics and activities based on participant interests.
  • Participant Support: Actively supervising participants during program sessions and providing assistance in the therapeutic pool and on outings as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive services to our clients.
  • Environment Maintenance: Ensuring that activity areas and supplies are kept clean, organized, and safe.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or other special populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
