Reporting Structure: Reports to the Executive Director and the Finance Director

Work Environment: Flexible work arrangement with options for remote work

Schedule: Standard business hours with occasional evening and weekend commitments

Role Overview:
The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for strategizing and implementing all fundraising initiatives aimed at individual donors. This includes outreach efforts, solicitation campaigns, donor appreciation events, and maintaining robust communication and relationships with donors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish fundraising objectives, focusing on expanding the major donor base.
  • Research and identify potential major donors; develop and implement tailored engagement strategies.
  • Manage relationships with existing donors, ensuring active stewardship and engagement.
  • Enhance and oversee the major donor program, including special event invitations and donor recognition.
  • Coordinate meetings for the Executive Director to foster relationships with key donors.
  • Design and execute individual fundraising appeals, crafting compelling narratives and overseeing the production of materials.
  • Organize small fundraising events throughout the year and support larger organizational events.
  • Utilize donor management systems to track donor interactions and contributions.
  • Analyze individual giving trends and report on progress towards fundraising goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing staff to produce a quarterly newsletter for donors.
  • Provide quarterly updates to the Board of Trustees regarding fundraising efforts.
  • Supervise the Development Associate in their daily tasks related to donor management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in fundraising or a related non-profit field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong writing abilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and creatively.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with donor management software is a plus.
