About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group USA. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and creating menus that meet the needs of our clients
  • Produce and execute catering events with precision and attention to detail
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with our marketing and culinary teams
Requirements
  • A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field
  • Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training
  • Catering experience a plus
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet
  • Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable
