Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team at the YMCA of Central Kentucky. As a Lifeguard and Aquatic Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests in the pool area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prevention of Accidents: Maintain a safe and secure environment in the pool area, including the deck and locker rooms.
  • Emergency Response: Provide prompt and effective assistance in the event of an accident or emergency.
  • Pool Operations: Enforce pool rules and regulations, and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Maintenance and Housekeeping: Perform routine maintenance duties, including cleaning the pool deck and surrounding areas.
  • Staff Support: Attend staff meetings and training sessions, and work collaboratively with other team members to achieve our goals.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Certifications: Current and valid Lifeguard Certification, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
  • Swimming Skills: Excellent swimming skills and a varied aquatic background.
