Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard to join our team at the YMCA of Central Kentucky. As an Aquatic Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our members and guests while using our pools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prevent accidents and provide emergency assistance in the event of an incident.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to member inquiries.
  • Participate in routine maintenance duties, including cleaning and upkeep of pool areas.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current and valid Lifeguard Certification, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
  • Excellent swimming skills and a strong aquatic background.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
