Safety Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Operations Specialist to join our team at Gray Construction. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Contractor Pre-Qualifications: Review and approve contractor pre-qualification documentation, ensuring compliance with our safety standards and regulations.
- Incident Reporting: Review and approve incident reports, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation of all incidents.
- Safety Statistics: Maintain and update safety statistics, including RIR, LTIR, and SIF Rate, to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Staffing and Interviewing: Participate in the interviewing process for prospective team members, providing recommendations for hiring and development.
- Safety Policy Updates: Review and update safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Event Management: Assist in planning and coordinating safety events and training sessions, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
- Professional Development: Work with team members to identify and coordinate professional development opportunities, ensuring ongoing learning and growth.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a safety-related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a safety position in the construction industry or 4 years of administrative experience with a construction company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- A passion for safety and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of your work.
