Position Summary
Join a dynamic organization dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of the diverse communities we serve. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by reviewing, compounding, and dispensing medications within a pharmaceutical warehouse environment, all under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process medication and supply orders for distribution to affiliated hospitals and clinics.
- Commit to staffing at least one full weekend (Saturday & Sunday) each month.
- Coordinate shipments to clients using various couriers while ensuring compliance with temperature regulations.
- Document pharmaceutical distribution activities, ensuring accuracy in both automated and manual systems.
- Address and prioritize customer requests related to pharmacy distribution or compounding services.
- Utilize automated dispensing technology and relevant software to fulfill orders.
- Manage inventory by receiving, restocking, and rotating products, including expiration date oversight.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in regulatory compliance inspections and maintain documentation for medication storage areas.
Additional Information
Education Requirements:
● No specific education required if other qualifications are met; completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy is necessary unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
● CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA is required unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
- Experience in inventory management is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to stand for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
- Capability to lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to reach overhead to access shelved products.
