Position Overview:
Spherion Staffing is seeking a qualified Senior Market Manager to lead operations in the Devil's Lake, ND area. The individual in this role will be responsible for guiding a team focused on sales, delivery, merchandising, and equipment services to meet the market's sales and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations within the market, ensuring exceptional customer service and identifying new sales opportunities through customer analysis.
  • Collaborate with Account Sales Representatives to enhance sales and profit margins across all market channels.
  • Guarantee that programs sold at key accounts are effectively implemented in the marketplace.
  • Coordinate with delivery and merchandising teams to ensure optimal execution at the account level, meeting customer expectations for retail delivery.
  • Maintain effective communication with Account Sales Representatives regarding sales activities to ensure seamless execution at the customer level.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of customers' marketing strategies and objectives to tailor sales approaches accordingly.

Performance Reviews:
Conduct regular business reviews with assigned customers to assess performance and strategize improvements.

Collaboration:
Work with various departments to ensure accurate pricing is reflected in the sales system for all assigned customers.

Standards Compliance:
Understand and uphold the company's merchandising standards across different product categories, training direct reports to align with these expectations.

Workload Management:
Review daily workloads and adjust as necessary to accommodate fluctuations in volume and staffing needs.

Feedback Mechanism:
Solicit ongoing feedback from key account personnel regarding the performance of direct reports and address any issues promptly.

Proactive Communication:
Effectively communicate business challenges, development opportunities, and competitive insights to relevant departments, along with actionable plans to address them.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of sales and/or management experience in a competitive environment, ideally within a Direct Service Delivery (DSD) or General Product Company (GPC).
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to motivate teams.
  • A coaching and mentoring mindset.
  • Customer-centric approach, fostering mutually beneficial outcomes for both the company and its clients.

Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
