Position Overview:
Spherion Staffing Fargo is seeking a seasoned Senior Market Director to lead our operations in the Devil's Lake, ND area. This pivotal role is designed to mentor a team focused on sales, delivery, merchandising, and equipment services, driving them towards achieving sales targets, profitability, and margin objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations within the market area, ensuring a high standard of customer service while analyzing the customer demographic to uncover potential sales avenues.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Sales Representatives to enhance sales and margins across all market channels.
  • Guarantee the effective execution of programs sold at key account levels within the marketplace.
  • Coordinate with delivery and merchandising teams to ensure that retail deliveries meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with Account Sales Representatives regarding sales activities to ensure seamless execution at the customer level.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's marketing strategies alongside customer objectives to tailor approaches for assigned clients.
  • Prepare and deliver regular business reviews to designated customers.
  • Work with various departments to ensure accurate pricing is reflected in the sales system for all assigned accounts.
  • Understand and uphold the company's merchandising standards across different products and categories, training direct reports accordingly.
  • Review daily workloads and adjust as necessary to accommodate fluctuations in volume and personnel availability.
  • Continuously solicit feedback from key account personnel regarding the performance of direct reports and address any issues promptly.
  • Proactively communicate business challenges, development opportunities, and competitive insights to relevant departments, along with actionable plans to address them.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in sales and/or management within a fast-paced, competitive environment, ideally with a Direct Service Delivery (DSD) or General Product Company (GPC).
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a talent for team motivation.
  • A coaching and mentoring mindset.
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on creating mutually beneficial outcomes for both the company and its clients.
