Spherion Staffing Fargo is seeking a seasoned Market Director to lead operations in a dynamic market environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a team focused on sales, delivery, merchandising, and equipment services to meet and exceed financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations within the market, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying new sales opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Account Sales Representatives to enhance sales performance across various channels.
- Ensure that key account programs are effectively implemented in the marketplace.
- Coordinate with delivery and merchandising teams to guarantee exceptional service and product delivery that meets customer expectations.
- Maintain clear communication with Account Sales Representatives regarding sales activities to ensure seamless execution at the customer level.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's marketing strategies and align them with customer objectives to optimize sales approaches.
- Prepare and deliver regular business reviews to clients, showcasing performance and opportunities for growth.
- Work with internal departments to ensure accurate pricing is reflected in the sales system for all clients.
- Uphold the company's merchandising standards and train team members to align with these expectations.
- Review and adjust daily workloads to accommodate changes in volume and staffing needs.
- Gather ongoing feedback from key account personnel regarding team performance and address any issues proactively.
- Communicate business challenges, development opportunities, and competitive insights to relevant departments, along with actionable plans for resolution.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- At least five years of experience in sales and/or management within a fast-paced, competitive landscape, ideally in a Direct Service Delivery (DSD) or General Product Company (GPC) environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to inspire and lead a team.
- A coaching and mentoring mindset.
- A customer-centric approach that fosters mutually beneficial outcomes for both the company and its clients.
