Responsibilities

This role is pivotal in a collaborative, customer-focused environment, supporting the organization responsible for security and operations programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Formulating a technology roadmap for operational IT support and cybersecurity technologies, enhancing both operations and monitoring capabilities.
  • Leading the strategic initiatives and objectives for the program, ensuring effective tracking and monitoring.
  • Collecting technical operational capabilities and developing requirements for the engineering team.
  • Independently identifying key technical contacts within the program and synthesizing operational needs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitoring requirements with engineering contacts, identifying obstacles, and implementing solutions.
  • Recognizing when requirements may not meet program expectations regarding cost, schedule, or scope.
  • Providing guidance to implementing organizations to ensure successful execution of requirements.
  • Anticipating information gaps and coordinating across various service providers.
  • Testing IT operational capabilities and recommending technological improvements.
  • Creating and communicating effective group-level communications.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with a polygraph.
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
    • BS 10-12 years, MS 8-10 years, PhD 5-7 years.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to develop original concepts for various projects.
  • Proficiency in technology design, adapting equipment and technology to meet user needs.
  • Ability to systematically convert customer product requirements into comprehensive system solutions, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Experience in analyzing complex system requirements, including functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, and requirements allocation.
  • Knowledge of engineering science and technology applications.
  • Experience with data modeling, transaction flow analysis, and performance measurement techniques.
  • Ability to compile, evaluate, and publish information and statistical data effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Complex problem-solving skills, with the capacity to identify and evaluate options for solutions.
