As a Cybersecurity Engineer within our organization, you will deliver engineering services focused on cybersecurity to support our client's objectives. You will collaborate with various teams to determine the optimal blend of tools and methodologies that align with the client's requirements and future aspirations, crafting a strategy that facilitates secure and efficient solutions. Your role will involve exploring innovative techniques, moving beyond traditional models, and adapting to industry advancements.

Your responsibilities will include guiding the team through a comprehensive approach to system design, offering alternatives, and customizing solutions to balance security with mission requirements. You will utilize your systems engineering expertise in areas such as requirements analysis, architecture design, technology evaluation, and metrics development. Additionally, you will provide operational support, including testing tools in real-world environments and liaising with vendors and relevant personnel to resolve issues.

In this role, you will develop and implement advanced methodologies, theories, and research techniques to address complex project requirements and technical specifications for software development initiatives. You will also oversee full life cycle projects or significant phases of projects for high-profile technical solution programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance the security posture of the intelligence community, where your technical skills will be crucial in helping clients navigate their most challenging obstacles through the integration of secure practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, test engineering, software development lifecycles, or system design and administration.
  • Familiarity with mobile or wireless technologies and networks.
  • Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders across diverse organizations.
  • Understanding of software vulnerabilities, exploits, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Knowledge of operating systems at both administrative and kernel levels.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Android, iOS, or Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in tools such as KaliLinux, Wireshark, IDApro, or Docker.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
  • Experience in software development and code review processes.
  • Understanding of the intelligence community's mission, vision, goals, and values.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.

Salary at Booz Allen is influenced by various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 annually. This range reflects the typical salary for this role and is part of Booz Allen's comprehensive compensation package.

Work Model:

Our people-first culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is designated as remote or hybrid, you will occasionally work from a Booz Allen or client site facility. If the role is onsite, you will engage with colleagues and clients in person as required.
