Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the release process utilizing Copado.
  • Work closely with Copado DevSecOps Engineers, Salesforce Developers, Test Automation Engineers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to strategize and implement releases.
  • Ensure comprehensive testing and validation of all modifications prior to deployment.
  • Maintain and enhance the Copado release management tool, including workflows, pipelines, and integrations.
  • Establish and uphold best practices for release management, covering version control, continuous integration, continuous deployment, semantic versioning, and release artifacts.
  • Generate and maintain thorough release documentation, such as release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to the release process, ensuring prompt resolution with minimal operational disruption.
  • Provide training and support on Copado and release management processes to team members.
  • Ensure adherence to controls in the release and deployment process.
  • Effectively communicate technical and business strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead investigations into the root causes of deployment and release challenges.
  • Encourage shared ownership of release responsibilities and commitment to delivery among scrum masters, engineers, and other team members.
  • Continuously improve the release process for enhanced efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in Copado and Salesforce, recommending new features or practices to improve release management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in release management.
  • At least 8 years of experience in DevSecOps with cloud architectures, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and security tools.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Salesforce Development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Copado and release management.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce development practices, platform capabilities, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs, and more.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Proficient in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAFe principles.
  • Proven leadership, analytical, team empowerment, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with Own Backup and Restore is considered a plus.

eSimplicity supports a remote work environment, operating within the Eastern time zone to facilitate efficient interaction with our government clients. Expected working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern, unless otherwise directed by your manager.

Occasional travel may be necessary for training and project meetings, estimated at less than 5% per year.

Candidates should be prepared to participate in on-call rotations during business hours and as needed for high-priority incidents outside regular business hours.
