Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Facility Security Officer to join our team at V2X. As a key member of our security program, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and operating a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in an effective worldwide, comprehensive security program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Program Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive security program that ensures compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
  • Facility Security: Maintain security clearances, facilities, personnel, and a listing of approved personnel for access to sensitive areas.
  • Security Briefings and Education: Conduct security briefings and education programs to ensure personnel are aware of security procedures and protocols.
  • Investigations and Compliance: Investigate or oversee the investigation of losses and security violations, and recommend corrective action to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Update inventories of sensitive materials and ensure their secure storage and destruction.
  • Security Procedures and Protocols: Implement global and site-specific security procedures, checklists, process controls, and practices for sensitive information, including preparation of documents and destruction of records.
  • Government and Company Interface: Interface with Government Special Security Officers (SSOs) for approved/certified processes and periodic security inspections.
  • Clearance and Screening: Submit security clearance paperwork and supporting documentation through the sensitive compartmented information (SCI) screening process.
  • Physical Security: Manage the physical security of operating facilities, equipment, and documentation.
  • Information Security: Assist with information security policy and procedure development and implementation.
  • Global Deployment: Be available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.
  • Contractor Oversight: Assist in oversight or escort for contractors on repair/renovation projects.
  • SCIF Operations: Establish, maintain, and operate a SCIF.
  • Accreditation Preparation: Prepare SCIF accreditations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and ten years of related experience, or High School diploma and 14 years' related experience with DSS FSO certification supporting SCI facilities and personnel security clearance activities.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge in DOD or other industrial security program and in-depth knowledge of the DOD or other government security regulatory manuals. Ability to instruct others in security procedures, requirements, protocols, and operations. Working knowledge of the following Department of Defense and Industrial Security Requirements: 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual; DOD OMSEC Supplement to Industrial Security Manual for Safeguarding Classified Information; DOD DoD Information Security Program Regulation; DOD, Vol 1 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI); and Contractor Administrative Security Volume 1.
  • Language and Citizenship: Fluent in the English language (written and oral) and US Citizenship, Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Additional Requirements: Some positions or assignments may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph, especially those requiring access to TDN2.
