Position Overview:
The Site Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all facets of jobsite management. This includes responsibilities related to staffing, scheduling, and maintaining strong relationships with business partners and subcontractors. As the primary leader on-site, the Operations Manager will guide the project from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive industry experience and a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs and requirements of clients, projects, departments, and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of practical leadership experience in commercial construction, with a proven track record in managing mid-size to large-scale projects.
  • Current OSHA 30-hour or 10-hour certification is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Office, and Procore is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are mandatory.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret safety regulations and company policies/standards.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various knowledge levels.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project safety in compliance with all safety regulations and enforce company policies.
  • Oversee construction activities in alignment with project plans, specifications, and standard practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure timely and accurate completion of all necessary documentation.
  • Supervise craft workers assigned to the project, ensuring effective performance.
  • Plan work schedules, determining workforce levels, material quantities, and equipment needs.
  • Maintain project schedules to minimize unnecessary overtime and extended conditions.
  • Report weekly on equipment usage and hours worked.
  • Coordinate the delivery, storage, and efficient utilization of project materials.
  • Ensure accurate layout and communication of information to all trades involved.
  • Focus on timely project delivery while prioritizing safety, quality, and budget adherence.
  • Assist the Project Manager with material delivery schedules and manage the change management process effectively.
  • Lead and assist with job setup, communication, safety compliance, record-keeping, quality control, and project closeout as needed.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics for efficient operations.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
