Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the Manager – Broker's Assistants and designated Brokers Assistant(s), the role encompasses a variety of responsibilities associated with the solicitation and placement of insurance policies for M.J. Hall's sub-producers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and support assigned Brokers Assistant and Lead Broker(s) in all facets of the role.
  • Acquire knowledge about the commercial lines insurance sector, focusing on the Excess & Surplus Lines domain.
  • Complete formal training courses to enhance technical proficiency.
  • Expand industry knowledge and networking opportunities by participating in professional training sessions.
  • Serve as a full-time Clerical Assistant to gain insights into carrier operations.
  • Pursue professional designations for enhanced career development and credibility.

Educational Background and Experience:

  • Preferred: Completion of two or more years of college and participation in relevant insurance courses such as INS21, CIC, CISR, AU, or CPCU.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Agency Management Systems.
  • Understanding of TIF documents.
