Join Zurich Insurance Company as a Property Risk Engineering Consultant, where you will leverage your extensive expertise in highly protected risk (HPR) properties. This role is designed for professionals who thrive in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering field risk engineering services to meet underwriting criteria.
- Creating and executing customer service initiatives aimed at reducing losses and improving operational efficiency.
- Providing engineering insights to the underwriting team by engaging in client and broker discussions.
- Conducting on-site engineering assessments as required, particularly for significant accounts and prospects within the designated region.
- Offering advanced property consulting services, including identifying major loss risks, analyzing the causes of significant losses, and formulating property management strategies.
- Collaborating with underwriting professionals and agents to promote Zurich's risk transfer insurance offerings across various business sectors.
All final candidates will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check due to the provision of a company vehicle. This position may be filled at either the Consultant or Senior Consultant level, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience.
Basic Qualifications:
For Consultant:
- A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, OR
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, OR
- Completion of the Zurich Certified Apprentice program with an Associate's degree and 3 years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, AND
- Proven teamwork experience.
- Relevant risk assessment experience in accordance with Property competency standards.
For Senior Consultant:
- A Bachelor's Degree with 6 or more years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, OR
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent with 8 or more years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, AND
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated teamwork experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with HPR properties.
- Background in Property Loss Control/Risk Engineering within the insurance sector.
- Certification as a Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).
- Strong communication and consultative skills.
- Excellent collaborative abilities.
- Proven track record of effective teamwork.
- Proficiency in PC and MS Office software.
