KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles all incoming inquiries related to commercial insurance claims.
  • Collects all necessary details regarding the claim from the client or producer.
  • Does not imply or deny any claim coverage.
  • Identifies relevant coverage and policy details associated with the claim and completes the necessary ACORD documentation.
  • Processes daily correspondence and communications regarding ongoing claims and updates the Account Management System (AMS) accordingly.
  • Acts as an advocate for clients, ensuring proper claims management, including reserving and settlements.
  • Investigates risk management services provided by insurance carriers and other vendors, assessing potential benefits for clients and assisting in establishing safety objectives.
  • Focuses on continuous enhancement of the company's claims process to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Facilitates communication between clients and insurance carriers, keeping producers and account managers informed.
  • Serves as a claims expert, offering guidance and support for all inquiries.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, and emailing as necessary.
  • Completes additional projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in managing Workers' Compensation Claims.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, and legal representatives.
  • Familiarity with insurance markets, products, services, and underwriting processes.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrates a solid work ethic, positive attitude, and a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills for handling substantial workloads.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Exhibits initiative, sound judgment, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Committed to high standards and achieving results with enthusiasm.
  • Skilled in developing long-term client relationships that foster growth.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Must possess and maintain a Property & Casualty License from the state of domicile.
  • Required to have a Workers' Compensation Certification.
