Position Overview

This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and is classified as an hourly, non-exempt position. The incumbent will be tasked with a range of clerical and administrative responsibilities associated with personnel management, benefits administration, compensation, and employee relations initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and exemplify the core values and operational principles of Odle Management.
  • Ensure that HR files are meticulously organized and current, including confidential documents, personnel records, medical files, training logs, I-9 forms, driver's licenses, and insurance documentation.
  • Assist in the processing of documentation for new hires and separations, including retirement-related paperwork when necessary.
  • Support the promotion of available positions both on-site and through external resources via the Job Bid Program.
  • Facilitate benefits enrollment and orientation sessions for new employees, providing comprehensive information regarding available insurance options and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate training logs and individual training records for all personnel.
  • Perform various HR administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, welcoming visitors, and providing job-related information to applicants.
  • Participate in professional development training sessions.
  • Deliver training to center management staff regarding Human Resources practices.
  • Foster a respectful and harassment-free environment to ensure a safe and productive space for both staff and students.
  • Effectively communicate and model essential employability skills, including personal accountability and proficiency in technology.
  • Maintain responsibility for the safety and accountability of staff, students, and property, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Two years of relevant experience in Human Resources is preferred.
  • Completion of all mandated training requirements as directed by government and management is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is preferred.

Additional Skills: The ability to perform administrative tasks independently is essential. Proficiency in typing at a rapid pace and familiarity with personal computers is required. A working knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary. Strong organizational skills, effective telephone etiquette, and the ability to proofread documents for grammatical accuracy are important. The candidate must be capable of engaging effectively with the public and government representatives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The role requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and to collaborate effectively with team members across various departments.
