Role Overview:

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for delivering routine nursing care and services in alignment with each resident's care plan, adhering to established nursing protocols, and under the guidance of a supervisor. The PCA plays a vital role in ensuring that residents' needs are met with the utmost respect and dignity.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the continuous care and comfort of assigned residents
  • Assisting with meals and monitoring daily food and fluid intake
  • Supporting residents with personal grooming and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assisting residents with mobility, including standing, walking, exercising, sitting, and lying down
  • Safely transporting residents to various locations within the facility
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Performing additional tasks as required
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification as a Patient Care Assistant or completion of a relevant training program

Salary Range: $23.00/hr*

*This salary range reflects what Long Beach Healthcare Center anticipates paying for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, education, and qualifications.
