Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dialysis healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist patients with their dialysis treatment, including setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, monitoring vital signs, and providing education on dialysis procedures.
  • Treatment Setup: Prepare and maintain a safe and clean working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting dialysis machines and equipment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care and coordination.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient information, treatment data, and any notable events or concerns.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and achieve organizational goals.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in dialysis technology or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
