- Conduct interviews, screenings, and health assessments following established protocols.
- Document and report observations that reflect the care provided and the progress of patients.
- Assist in the development of treatment plans.
- Apply and remove dressings and bandages; manage orthopedic devices; and provide instructions on their use.
- Perform ophthalmic tests that do not require interpretation.
- Remove sutures or staples from minor incisions or lacerations.
- Conduct ear lavage to clear impacted cerumen.
- Collect specimens for testing using non-invasive methods.
- Support patients with mobility and transfers.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, including positioning and disinfecting treatment areas.
- Provide patient information and instructions as authorized by a physician.
- Gather and record vital patient data, including height, weight, and blood pressure.
- Conduct basic laboratory and screening tests typically performed in a medical office.
- Administer first aid and CPR in emergencies.
- Perform front office tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient relations.
- Order and maintain medical supplies and ensure clinical areas are stocked.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Administration.
Medical Assistant I: Salary Range $25 - $27 Hour DOE
- Completion of a state-approved medical assistant program. Phlebotomy certification is a plus.
Medical Assistant II: Salary Range $28 Hour DOE
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
A minimum of three months to one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinical or hospital setting, or completion of an internship with the organization.
