Job Overview

The StepStone Hospitality Inc. is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef De Cuisine to oversee our culinary operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Schedule and manage all kitchen staff to meet labor standards and maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Supervision: Oversee all cooking activities, ensuring adherence to methods, portioning, and presentation standards.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate in planning meals and crafting innovative menus that reflect our culinary vision.
  • Procurement: Order food and kitchen supplies, specifying quality and quantity requirements.
  • Food Presentation: Ensure all dishes are presented attractively to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Health Standards: Maintain rigorous health and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
  • Financial Management: Work towards achieving budgeted revenue and expenses while maximizing profitability.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Enhance the perception of our culinary department through exceptional service and quality.
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement both short- and long-term operational strategies for the restaurant.
  • Employee Development: Foster a culture of excellence through training and development of kitchen staff.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain effective inventory management procedures.
  • Human Resources: Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of kitchen staff.
  • Policy Implementation: Formulate and enforce kitchen policies and procedures.
  • Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize monthly meetings to communicate new policies and ensure safety topics are addressed.
  • Menu Innovation: Lead quarterly menu development and create special event menus.
  • Invoice Management: Assist with the review of weekly invoices.
Qualifications:

Availability: Must be flexible to work various shifts as required.

Experience: Multi-outlet and hotel experience preferred.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; bilingual candidates are preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.

Other: Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
