Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Lead to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Business Development team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other key stakeholders in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account strategies to drive business growth and expansion with the NIH and other key customers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, competitor analysis, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business development plans and strategies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Leidos' capabilities and services to customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the NIH and other key customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of direct work experience with the NIH, ASPR, or other HHS OpDivs.
  • Relevant subject matter expertise in the HHS and healthcare communities.
  • Local to the DC Metro area and able to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience directing a distributed team and managing multiple customers, programs, and projects.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
