Advanced Technology Practice

Our Advanced Technology Practice is strategically designed to enhance and diversify federal agency research and development (R&D) support for engineering and technology clients. This practice serves a wide range of for-profit technology companies, from startups to Fortune 500 firms, focusing on sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Energy, and Biotechnology. The primary objective of this role is to bolster business development initiatives across the entire practice.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Research Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting business development within the Advanced Technology Core team. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Practice leaders to assist in the research, development, and implementation of business development strategies aimed at acquiring new clients.
  • Providing administrative and project management support to the business development team, ensuring organized and accurate records, participating in client pitch meetings, coordinating logistics for meetings, and assisting in document preparation.
  • Working with the central Business Development team on client screening and updates.
  • Preparing lists of prospective clients and supporting the creation of customized outbound marketing strategies, including email campaigns and conference participation.
  • Drafting and collaborating on marketing materials and proposal templates.
  • Attending conferences with the business development team and aiding in the delivery of workshops and training sessions.
  • Supporting business development efforts by responding to requests for proposals and preparing contracts and statements of work.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of relevant federal grant programs across various agencies.
  • Participating in special projects and performing additional duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Eastern time.
  • Location: in-office collaboration is required.
  • Competitive benefits package includes: 401(k), defined-benefit pension plan, medical, vision, and dental insurance, commuter benefits, healthcare HSA/FSA options, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and phone stipend.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience, with a range of $60,000 - $69,000 annual base salary.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in business development, marketing, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of relevant work experience, preferably in sales or business development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong task management and prioritization abilities.
  • Creative and adaptable mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and create informative materials.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and business development processes is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain a stationary position during the workday and move within the office as needed.
  • This position requires on-site presence a minimum of three days per week.
